Sierra Valley 4-H reports that club members “brought the farm” to the residents of the skilled nursing
facilities in Loyalton and Portola Aug. 12. Members brought goats, lambs, bunnies, chickens,
and a dog to visit the residents, who each got an opportunity to pet each animal.
“The residents enjoyed it a lot and so did the members and animals!” said Callie Steffanic, Sierra Valley 4-H communications officer. “It was a great community service outreach for our club, and we are excited to do this again in the future!”
