Seneca Healthcare District in Chester announces that it has recently hired a new information technology director. Brian Churchill, a healthcare IT executive and solutions strategist, assumed this role after leading Seneca Healthcare District through its new electronic health records system implementation.
“Seneca Healthcare District is excited to welcome Brian to our team and to the community!” said Chelssa Outland, Seneca’s public information officer.
Brain worked at Sturdy Memorial Health, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, from 1990 through 2022, starting at the help desk. From there, he promoted through every role possible in the IT department. During his last 15 years at Sturdy, he was the director of IT.
“Sturdy Memorial, at present, is a licensed acute care hospital licensed with 140 beds and 23 clinics with approximately 150 providers. When I started, it was just a stand-alone hospital. Much of the expansion was during my time as IT director,” said Churchill.
The IT director guides the strategic planning for many of the hospital’s clinical IT functions. The role also aims to ensure the hospital’s clinical information systems work seamlessly and effectively in supporting staff as they care for patients.
As the IT director, Churchill will provide general day-to-day supervision, management, guidance, and administration for IT development and maintenance teams.
