Partners Eclectic Tournament, Aug. 10 and 17
On Thursday, Aug. 17, the Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club completed the second round of its annual two-round Partners Eclectic Tournament,which began Aug. 10. In this tournament the better net ball score of the twosome for each hole counts as the team game score each day; if the second-round score is better than the first, that score counts for the hole. Following are the winning teams:
- First place: Mikie Burdick and Debbie Fuetsch, with a net score of 54
- Second place: Diane Forsberg and Cathe Franck (55)
- Third place: Ginger Holladay-Houston and Carol Mitchell (59 in a “card off”)
- Fourth place: Renee Miller and Dee Walker (also 59)
Lois Childress, Diane Forsberg, Cathe Franck, and Cathy Macdonald each had one “chip-in.”
Men’s Play Day, Aug. 16
Fifteen players competed in the Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Wednesday Play Day Aug. 16. The game was low net plus skins. First place was won by Grant Mayfield with a net score of 67. Second place was a tie between Mark Yuill and Don Judson with net scores of 70. Five skins were awarded: Grant Mayfield had two skins, with a net 2 on Hole 4 and a net 3 on Hole 17. Gary Sharrow had a net 2 on Hole 9, Chuck Franck had a net 3 on Hole 10, and Norm Nichols had a net 3 on Hole 13.
