On June 15, 2023, the man, the myth, the legend, Johnny B. Hard, passed away.
He was a father to two beautiful women, whom he raised to be fearless and independent. A grandfather to three magnificent grandchildren, in whom his fire burns eternally. Johnny will forever be a friend and inspiration to many who enjoyed the warmth of his sunshine.
Johnny B. Hard is truly a library burned to the ground: Caravans, swimming pools, mini skyscrapers — he built them. Trucks on the side of the road, broken dirt bikes out in the woods, clogged up hot springs, waterlines in steep ravines — he fixed them. Crazy long math equation – he did that in his head.
Kayaking and rafting in tons of epic white water — Johnny did that. A whole room full of dirt bike trophies — he won those. Johnny survived a helicopter crash and fought for his country. Kind and generous like a true Leo, he was always there if you need to talk, to laugh with, or to pick you up at 3 a.m. when you are stranded. He was always there for a sunrise walk or a sunset walk. Always there to make it happen. Always there.
He is loved. He is missed. He is blessed on his next journey.
A memorial celebration will be held on September 2 at 11 a.m. at the Feather River Hot Springs.
