The Chester Green Waste Program is set to close for the winter season after the last operating day on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Plumas County road crews need the facility on Highway 36 to perform necessary pre-winterization maintenance work before the arrival of winter, said Sean Graham, Solid Waste program manager. A sign will be posted at the Chester Green Waste Site as well as the
Chester Landfill.
