The Argentine Rock Lookout Project announces that its volunteer concrete sack job scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, has been postponed to Sunday morning.
“Thanks to all the volunteers who have scheduled to help the Argentine Rock Lookout concrete project!” said organizer Jeff Greef. “Unfortunately, Mother Nature interferes and it’s going to rain Saturday. So, the group is delaying one day to Sunday which is forecast to be a nice, cool day. Come help if you can, Sunday morning. We need more volunteers!” If the effort is not completed Sunday, organizers and volunteers will also be on site Monday.
The Argentine Rock Lookout Project is a volunteer-led and volunteer-enacted project to fix the old lookout and make it available as a rental to everyone, said Greef. Right now the group is working on concrete footings for new staircases up at the lookout. The task this weekend is to carry 100 sacks of concrete up the 300-foot path from the parking area to where the concrete will be placed.
