The Holiday Shopping Tour is calling all businesses in Chester, Lake Almanor, Westwood, and Indian Valley to register for the two-day event, held on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11.
Businesses have until Oct. 13 to register for participation.
“The annual Holiday Shopping Tour draws shoppers from all over California and Nevada, who look forward to this as a kick-off to the holiday shopping season with the unique stores and boutiques available in local towns,” said Kristal Johnson, director of marketing and communications for the Lake Almanor Area Chamber.
The fees associated with this event primarily go towards marketing and creating/printing the event Passport booklet, which lists participating businesses. It also provides a page for stamps of shops visited and shares details on giveaways. Advertisements are also available to businesses at an additional cost. Last year, businesses that placed an ad in the Passport were visited by nearly all shoppers, said Johnson.
