Main Street Artists Gallery presents “Painting California,” featuring Deanna Osborne and Sally Posner at a show that starts Friday, Oct. 6. An opening reception from at 5 to 7 p.m. offers wine and appetizers while viewing the fullness of California landscapes by these two accomplished and well-known artists.
Deanna Osborne grew up in the Bay Area and received her B.F.A. in drawing and painting at San Jose State University. Twenty years of living in the Sierra have given her a treasure trove of memories and views to inspire her show in this collection of landscapes. Her paintings have graced the walls of various Northern California galleries and are now available here at Main Street Artists Gallery.

Sally Posner is a well-known and appreciated artist in Plumas County and beyond. She was educated at California State University, Chico, where she received her B.A., and had her own business designing houses for over 20 years. She also taught art and architectural design at Lassen College. Sally is prolific; she paints constantly, and her offering for the October show will have about 20 new landscapes. She feels lucky to live here and the landscapes reflect her love for the area.

Abundant local color and massive views are what you get when two talented women have been “Painting California.”
Guests can meet member artists and patrons at the opening reception. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For further information contact Main Street Artists Gallery, 436 Main St., Quincy at (530) 283-1909 or https://mainstreetartists.net/.
