Feather River Food Co-op accepts fundraising applications

Feather River Food Co-op announces that it is accepting applications from qualifying organizations for the 2024 Round Up at the Register fundraising program. This program has already raised more than $70,000 for local organizations since 2018, reports FRFC outreach coordinator Amber Hughes.

In alignment with its guiding cooperative principles, FRFC created the Round Up at the Register program as a simple form of community giving. The program allows customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, and the “extra change” is then donated to a select local program or organization (fund recipient) each month. To be eligible, organizations must align with the co-op’s mission and areas of focus.

Selections for the 2024 Round Up at the Register roster began in August and will continue on an as-needed basis until there are enough applicants for the entire 2024 calendar year, said Hughes. “We encourage all Plumas-Sierra County organizations to apply,” she said. The application deadline is Dec. 31. To learn more and apply, visit https://featherriver.coop/community/round-up-at-the-register/.
