Plumas National Forest solicits campground concessionaire proposals

The Plumas National Forest recently started the process for solicitation of proposals for a concession special use permit for recreation facilities on the Beckwourth and Mount Hough ranger districts with the publication of a prospectus. 

The area to be served includes 40 campgrounds, group campgrounds, boat launches, and day use sites located at Frenchman Lake, Lake Davis, Lakes Basin and Antelope Lake recreation areas, and the Feather River Canyon.

The prospectus and all appendices are posted on the PNF website at http://www.fs.usda.gov/plumas and on SAM.gov at https://sam.gov/opp/be21d45a9c97428d8396e54ad396e17c/view.

Applicants must submit the required processing fee and business evaluation fee with their proposal. All prospective applicants are advised to read the prospectus carefully. All applicants must submit one hard copy and one electronic copy of their application package. Applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. 

Following the process, it is expected for a permit to be issued and operations to begin by May 1, 2024.  The permit term is initially for five years.
