Doug Redkey

Feb. 7, 1953 – Oct. 27, 2023

Doug Redkey, a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Oct. 27, 2023, in Boise, Idaho.

Doug Redkey was born to Frank and Minnie Redkey in Quincy, California, in 1953. He spent his youth in Quincy and met the love of his life and best friend, Terrie, at Bucks Lake. He and Terrie were married in 1981 and owned Lakeshore Resort at Bucks Lake for 12 years. They worked and raised their children in Quincy, where Doug was actively volunteering time with the local Pop Warner and Little League organizations. In 2018 Doug and Terrie retired, living in Chico for a year before moving to Boise, Idaho, to enjoy their retirement together.

Doug was an avid runner and enjoyed home projects, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband and very involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Doug is remembered by family and friends as a kind, honest, compassionate person with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed tremendously by his wife Terrie Redkey; children Chase and Malia Redkey; Kylie and Mogie Holm; three grandsons; brother Stan Redkey; and numerous other family members and friends.
