Lassen Fire Safe Council announces that it is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to perform archaeological survey work in the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District. The survey area is approximately three miles south of Milford, west of U.S. Route 395. The contract area is approximately 17,500 acres and the survey area is approximately 11,068 acres.
Fieldwork, which includes pedestrian survey as well as site monitoring and recording of new sites, in this
contract is expected to be completed in the field season of 2024. Bids will be received in person at the Lassen Fire Safe Council office at 1825 Main St. in Susanville, by mail at P.O. Box 816, Susanville, CA 96130, or by email at cade@lassenfiresafecouncil.org. Bids are due no later than Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m.
Lassen Fire Safe Council will evaluate proposals submitted by offerors who present a price offer according to the information found in the bid package. Proposals will be accepted from consultants who
demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the scope of work being contracted and have valid required insurance and licenses in effect at the time of bid submission.
