Kathleen (Kay) Longballa passed away on 10/7/23 just five weeks shy of her 91st birthday. Born in Wichita, Kansas, on 11/17/1932, she moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon, with her family and grew up in the Great Northwest. After graduation from Klamath Union High School, Kay attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she met her forever love, Bruce Longballa. They were married for 68 years until Bruce passed away two years ago.
After moving from Portland to San Francisco and then to Reno in 1962, Kay worked at the ROC for over 30 years before retiring to Graeagle, California.
Kay enjoyed playing bridge, watching sports, family, cooking, and traveling. Kay was kind, loving, caring and was always someone people loved to be around. She will be missed.
She is survived by her sister Mary Lou Boardman; her three children Phil (Meg), Ken (Jody), and LuAnn (Piet); five grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. We love you!
