The Quincy branch of the Plumas County Library is offering a free six-week beginner computer course. Classes will be held in the library meeting room; they begin at 11 a.m. and last about an hour. The course starts Nov. 16 and runs each Thursday until Dec. 28, except Thanksgiving.
“We are offering a comprehensive course starting with ‘How do I turn this thing on!'” said Interim County Librarian Sharon McKay. Other topics include how to operate and navigate a computer, the internet, email, smartphones, and programs like Zoom, Word, and Excel. Each week will build on the previous week’s lesson. Laptops will be provided for use during the classes.
McKay requests that those interested call the Plumas County Literacy office at (530) 283-6413 to reserve a spot; space and laptops are limited.
