Entrepreneurs from all industries in Plumas County are invited to attend Sierra Small Business Development Center’s Lender and Contractor Roundtable event, set for Nov. 30 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Mineral Building at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds. The free event is designed to bring together the local small business community to discover pathways for funding and federal, state, local, and tribal agency contracts.
This event will feature presentations and Q&A from the Small Business Administration, the U.S. Forest Service, Caltrans, the Sierra Small Business Development Center, ChicoSTART, Indian Valley Innovation Hub, and lenders Plumas Bank, U.S. Bank, and California Statewide CDC.
A key highlight of the event is the focus on government contracting, a sector known for its reliable and well-paying contracts. The Sierra SBDC reports that it, along with its partners, plays a vital role in this segment, helping small businesses navigate the complexities of government bids, ensuring they are well-positioned to win contracts.
The free roundtable event is set to offer connections with Sierra SBDC’s no-cost services, including one-on-one counseling, training, and networking opportunities, all aimed at optimizing local businesses’ strategies for accessing capital and government contracting.
Organizers report that attendees will benefit from networking opportunities and two interactive panels during which questions from the audience will be addressed. Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be available.
