Organizers share that the Environmental Studies team at Feather River College is excited to invite the community to an upcoming information event for the college’s new bachelor’s degree program in Ecosystem Restoration and Applied Fire Management. This event is an opportunity for FRC to connect with local community members who are interested in returning to pursue a degree, answer their questions, and provide them with information about the program.
The event is set for Nov. 20, 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Quintopia, 541 Main St. in Quincy. Charcuterie-style platters and beverages will be provided, courtesy of the FRC Foundation.
During the event, organizers will cover topics such as credit for prior learning and accommodating the schedules of individuals who already have established careers. “We understand that many community members interested in this degree already have careers and we our doing our best to make sure that their experience is taken into consideration,” said Hayden Lampe, Environmental Studies instructional assistant. “We want to ensure that our program is accessible and beneficial to everyone.”
