The current board of the Eastern Plumas Community Assistance Network food bank in Portola announced the appointment of two new board members at its October meeting.
Joining the board are Teri Warden and Jerry Williams, both residents of Portola. The board announced that they have independently distinguished themselves by their ongoing involvement and contributions to the local community, in addition to their current status as EPCAN volunteers.
EPCAN invites those who know Warden and Williams to join the board in welcoming them to their newest roles in the community.
Additionally, the EPCAN board recognized Steve Clifton, a longtime EPCAN board member who recently passed away. “Steve thoughtfully presented the supplier side of resource planning and distribution to the board,” said board member Craig Simmons. “Steve’s commitment to EPCAN and to the Portola community as a whole will long be remembered and appreciated.”
Donations to support EPCAN may be sent to EPCAN, 120 Nevada St., Portola, CA 96122. To learn about volunteering with EPCAN, contact Cathy Churchill at (530) 836-1485.
