Plumas County Human Resources Director Nancy Louise Selvage was arraigned Dec. 1 on three criminal counts stemming from her alleged activity as a department head on and following May 17, 2022.
Plumas County District Attorney David Hollister filed a criminal complaint for Selvage’s arrest Nov. 16 following a months-long investigation. The charges include conflict of interest, obtaining money by false pretenses, and preparing false documentary evidence.
At the 11 a.m. arraignment Hollister provided Robert Burns, Selvage’s attorney, with 220 pages and 20 electronic files, mostly interviews, he said.
Burns declined to comment on the case.
Selvage, who is free on her own recognizance, is scheduled to return to Plumas County Superior Court on Jan. 19, 2024 for further arraignment proceedings.
