Richard Kris Leonhardt passed away on Nov. 24, 2023, after many years of battling COPD. It was sudden cardiac arrest that took his life. Kris was born in Chico, California, on Dec. 16, 1962, to Ernest G. and Barbara Leonhardt.
Kris spent most of his life in Quincy, California, except for a few years working in Rio Linda, California. His entire work life involved heavy-duty equipment. He could run and repair any piece of iron.
Kris is survived by Linda Leonhardt, his wife of 33 years; brothers Eric Leonhardt of San Leandro, California, Chuck Leonhardt of Quincy, California, and Patrick Leonhardt of Loomis, California; and many nieces and nephews.
At Kris’s request, his Celebration of Life will be a party. Surprise! The party will be in the spring. Everyone is welcome. Watch this space for date, time, and location.
