Senior Kaleb Dupras was chosen by the Quincy Junior-Senior High School faculty to be honored as a Soroptimist International of Quincy Soropti-student for his outstanding academics, leadership, community service and activities.
At Dupras’ lunch meeting presentation, he shared his many accomplishments and future goals. For four years he has been a team member in varsity soccer, basketball and tennis, receiving California Interscholastic Federation all-conference awards and scholar-athlete awards. Through membership in the Quincy High S-Club, he is a volunteer in numerous community service projects.
A top academic student, Dupras is a member of the California Scholarship Federation. He was also chosen to participate in the 10th grade Edge Youth Leadership Camp. He said a highlight of his 11th grade summer was the Rotary short-term exchange to Rafaela, Argentina.
For his senior project, Dupras completed a course on investment banking and private equity and is working with Kris Kurpjuweit at Edward Jones to develop a financial portfolio. He will present what he has learned to first-year students in the Success 101 class.
Dupras plans to attend a four-year university and major in business. He has already been accepted to the University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University, Mercy University honors business program in New York City, and Howard University. He is waiting to hear from the University of California and several other universities.
