Snow Drifters invite riders to Bucks Lake Poker Run

Limited snow pushes event to March 2

UPDATE: Organizers announced that the event has been cancelled due to unsafe snow conditions.

UPDATE: Organizers have announced that due to limited snow, the Bucks Lake Poker Run event has been moved to its alternate date of March 2.

The Bucks Lake Snow Drifters group reports that the annual Bucks Lake Poker Run, presented by the Snow Drifters and sponsored by Gott Powersports and Lakeshore Resort, is an event that many look forward to each year. Organizers say the Poker Run provides an opportunity to explore Bucks Lake during its “winter glory days.” The event will take snowmobile riders through groomed trails on the Plumas National Forest while they play a card game and make their way toward a barbecue lunch and finish at Lakeshore Resort for prizes.

“We are excited to invite everyone out to enjoy a day in wonderful Bucks Lake,” said Michele “Mush” Grubbs, vice president, Bucks Lake Snow Drifters. “Taking place for over 30 years, this event, or club, would not be possible without the support from our amazing volunteers, members, snowmobile community, and sponsors. We look forward to another successful event full of fun, mingling, yummy food and a card game along the way — bring on the snow.”

Taking place at Bucks Lake, event registration starts at 9 a.m. at Lakeshoe Resort. In the case of snowfall, the alternate date is set for March 2, same time, same place.
