Waterline construction to begin in Greenville

Dig It Construction is scheduled to begin work the week of Jan. 22 on the long-awaited replacement of Greenville waterlines. The project is expected to last through late July, said Adam Cox, general manager of the Indian Valley Community Services District.

Travelers can expect traffic controls at various times on North and South Main streets, Bush Street, Hot Springs Road and throughout the residential area adjacent to Wolf Creek Road.

This project will provide long-term stability for Greenville’s drinking water system by replacing a significant portion of the main and lateral lines, Cox said. These replacements will allow field staff to shift to a proactive work model instead of constantly reacting to leaks and other issues.

The approximately $2.7 million project is funded by grants from Upper Feather River Integrated Regional Water Management/Plumas County, and the State of California’s Small Communities Drought Relief Program.
