The Feather River Food Co-op, with locations in Quincy and Portola, is currently looking for candidates to fill two seats on its board of directors that will be vacant starting in April.
“Being a board member of our co-op is a rewarding community role,” says FRFC outreach coordinator Ross MacNeil. “We’ve been very fortunate to have such a dynamic, open-minded board guiding us this past year; we’re looking forward to having two new members who can continue this leadership during a time of exciting growth and development at the co-op.”
Anyone who has been a co-op member for at least six months prior to the March 1 commencement is eligible to run for election. Any interested members are encouraged to submit a declaration of interest by the Jan. 31 deadline. More information about the election process as well as directions on how to submit the declaration of interest can be found in the co-op’s Board Election Handbook.
Anyone with questions about the upcoming election may email MacNeil at [email protected].
The Feather River Food Co-op is a consumer-owned cooperative. Everyone can shop at the cooperative and anyone can become a member-owner, which includes perks such as quarterly discounts as well as dividends in years of surplus revenue.
