Application deadline April 29

Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative and its telecommunications subsidiary, Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications, are offering two $1,000 scholarships in a program designed to enhance the education and resulting careers of deserving rural students.

All interested students are invited and encouraged to apply. To qualify, the student or parent/guardian’s primary residence in Plumas, Lassen, Sierra or Washoe county must be supplied with either electric power through PSREC, or telecommunications services through PST.

The 2024 essay topic is: “What are the best words of advice you have received? Who shared them, and how have you applied them in your own life?”

Applications can be accessed on the PSREC website or by calling 530-832-4261 or 800-555-2207. Entrants should submit their completed application and completed essay to Plumas-Sierra REC, Attn: Emily Compton, 73233 State Route 70, Portola, CA 96122 by Friday, April 29.
