American Valley 4-H dishes up community supper

Next free meal set for March 13

Members of the American Valley 4-H club served 133 pasta suppers at the Feb. 27 Quincy Community Supper to an appreciative group of guests, report organizers.

The supper is hosted on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church at 282 Jackson St. This free meal is available as a sit-down supper or as takeout to enjoy at home. Organizers invite the whole community to attend not only for the food but also for the fellowship.

Servers dish up free meals for community members in Quincy. The supper is open to all.

The next supper will be Wednesday, March 13. Quincy Community Supper began in 2002. Each year, a rotating series of community businesses, churches, offices, organizations and individuals hosts the supper.

Questions regarding the supper, donations or signing up to volunteer may be directed to Angela Elliott at 530-283-1478.
