Feather River Tourism Association offers grants

The Feather River Tourism Association has announced it is offering another round of grants up to $5,000 for new or established events that need financial support for out-of-area marketing. Businesses and nonprofit organizations may apply if they are located within the Feather River Tourism Marketing District, which includes the Almanor Basin, Indian Valley, Quincy, Feather River Canyon and Bucks Lake.

FRTA is funded through a 2% assessment on lodging stays within the district. The grant funds being offered are made possible through FRTA’s management plan, which allocates a percentage of the lodging assessments to the local regions that generated the funds. Grantees must be able to show a benefit to lodging providers. Preference will be given to events taking place in the off-season (October through May) but all applications that show a benefit to lodging providers will be considered.

Visit featherrivertourism.com/frta-grants for details and to apply.
