Joyce Tande, 85, of Quincy, California, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Oct. 31, 2023, at Yucca Valley, California. She was born on Nov. 11, 1937, in San Pedro, California, to Charles and Ruth Eberhardt.
She married Douglas Tande in 1956. Doug passed away in 2019 after 63 years of marriage. Joyce and Doug began their married life in southern California, moving to Plumas County 56 years ago. They lived in Graeagle, Meadow Valley, and Quincy. She was active in the First Baptist, Springs of Hope, and Meadow Valley Community churches during different times in her life. She started Tande Custom Draperies in 1972, running it for 20 years. She also served in a jail ministry for 40 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 20,2024, at Meadow Valley Community Church at 11 a.m. No RSVP is necessary.
