The Feather River Land Trust reports that early spring wildflowers are blooming. Some native California species to look for right now include the following:

  • Brown’s peony.
  • Phlox.
  • Beckwith’s violet.
  • Castiellja.
  • Buttercups.
  • California poppies.
  • Dwarf waterleaf.
  • Sierra shooting star.

The land trust encourages everyone to get out and enjoy conserved lands across the county. More information is available at https://www.frlt.org/outdoor-adventures-lost-sierra/.
