Wednesday Play Day April 24
Weather for the Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Wednesday Play Day on April 24 was warm, with very little wind. The group saw 12 players compete in the game of individual low net. The Wednesday game usually has “skins” as a part of the competition; however, since only nine holes of the golf course were open, “skins” were not included.
Winners are as follows:
- First place was won by Chuck Franck with a net score of 69.
- Second place was won by Ron Eaton with a net score of 70.
- Third place was won by Norm Nichols with a net score of 73.
- Fourth place was a tie between Paul Senft and Don Judson, both with net scores of 74.
In addition to winning third place, Norm Nichols scored his fifth career hole-in-one, this time on the 16th hole.
Low putts April 25
On Thursday, April 25, 16 members of the Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club teed it up for a game of low putts — as the saying goes, “drive for show, putt for dough.”
Winners were as follows:
- First flight, first place: Ginger Holladay Houston, with 15 putts.
- First flight, second place: three-way tie among Susan Anderson, Alaine Flynn and Kris Sutton, each with 17 putts.
- Second flight, first place: Lois Childress, with 17 putts.
- Second flight, second place: Cathy Churchill and Laurie Humphries, each with 18 putts.
Friday Play Day April 26
On the Graeagle Men’s Golf Association cold and wet Friday Play Day April 24, nine bandits competed in an individual low net game and only played nine holes before hail forced them from the golf course.
Winners are as follows:
- First place: John Capdeville, with a net score of 32.
- Second place: Jeff Monaghan, with a net score of 36.
There were three “skins” awarded: two to Mark Yuill, who scored a net 3 on the 10th hole and a net 3 on the 13th hole; and a single “skin” to Mike Simpson with a net 2 on the 12th hole.
