The Sierra Institute for Community and Environment, in partnership with Roundhouse Council, invites the community to gather for a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the completion of the new Indian Education Center in Greenville. This special summer solstice ceremony is set for 1 p.m. June 20.
Organizers report that the new building at 330 Bush St. features an innovative mass timber structure that highlights Mountain Maidu culture and fire-resistant construction, representing a major milestone in Greenville’s post-Dixie Fire restoration.

To RSVP for the ribbon-cutting event, fill out the form online.
Roundhouse Council, a Mountain Maidu-led nonprofit in Indian Valley, is dedicated to Native American youth education and culture. For 40 years, it has been a cornerstone in the community, offering after-school programs to children from nearby schools and hosting various cultural events.
