The Mohawk Community Resource Center invites the community to learn about ReCoverCA housing programs May 6. The California Department of Housing and Community Development ReCoverCA team will provide a presentation to explain how this housing program can help residents rebuild their single-family home or rental property after the 2021 Dixie Fire, or incorporate wildfire mitigation retrofits to reduce risk and improve resiliency in the event of future disasters.
“Together, we can rebuild a stronger community,” say organizers. “Your journey to recovery starts here!” The event is set for noon to 2 p.m. at the Mohawk Community Resource Center, 8989 Highway 89, Suite 4, in Graeagle.
This presentation is intended for the following:
- Homeowners and landlords affected by the federally declared disaster DR-4610 in 2021 in Plumas County.
- Homeowners and landlords with mitigation or home-hardening needs.
ReCoverCA will also host an informational booth at MCRC’s Cinco de Mayo event at the Graeagle Fire Hall on May 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.
