The Quincy branch of the Plumas County Library is receiving some much-needed TLC with the installation of new carpet, new flooring in the public bathrooms, and American with Disabilities Act–compliant doors on the Jackson Street entrance of the library, reports Plumas County Librarian Dora Mitchell.
The library will be closed to the public from May 15 to June 1 while the work is underway, and will reopen sporting its fresh new look Monday, June 3. Quincy literacy programs will also be on hold during this time. Story time, computer classes and literacy tutoring will resume the week of June 3.
Mitchell pointed out that the library’s phone and internet service may be affected by the work, so library users should contact the Chester branch library at 530-258-2742 or email [email protected] if they require assistance during the closure.
