Plumas Transit moves to on-demand evening service in Quincy

Beginning Wednesday, May 15, Plumas Transit Systems will switch to an on-demand service for evening routes in Quincy. This new on-demand transit service will serve the Quincy/American Valley area and will allow residents a convenient and accessible alternative to the conventional fixed route system, said Jim Graham, executive director of the Plumas County Transportation Commission.

This service will operate Monday through Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. This is the same schedule on which all Plumas Transit Systems routes operate.

Riders will be asked to download the Ride Pingo app on their device to schedule rides to any location within the Quincy/American Valley area. Riders may use the app to schedule a ride at any time. Riders without access to a device may call Plumas Transit Systems at 530-283-2538 to schedule a ride. Riders who schedule by phone are asked to do so the day before if possible. Plumas Transit Systems is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
