The Chester branch of the Plumas County Library system reports it is looking for book donations for its upcoming book sale on June 22 and 23. The annual sale event, hosted by Friends of the Chester Library, is the branch library’s major fundraising effort.
“Through the community’s gracious donations, hundreds of books will entice every book lover and each used book gets a new life,” report organizers. “Recycle your books!” All proceeds from the support of Friends of the Chester Library go toward the Chester branch’s literacy program, summertime reading program, preschool story time, book purchases, and upgrades to the library and its furnishings.
Books can be dropped off at the Chester branch library at 210 First Ave. during business hours as follows:
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., closed for lunch noon – 12:30.
- Thursday noon – 7 p.m., closed for dinner 5 – 5:30.
- Saturday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The new Chester library email is [email protected]. The phone number is the same: 530-258-2742.
