Tonya Awards theatre fundraiser comes to Quincy

UPDATE: Organizers have announced that they will not be making the 12th season announcement at this event.

Organizers announce a night of “glitz, glam, and theatrical magic” with the debut of Quincy’s Tonya Awards on June 16. This new event, a play on the famous Tony Awards, will be held to celebrate the local theatre community and raise funds for the West End Theatre.

Attendees can expect the following activities:

  • Performances: Local actors will showcase their talent.
  • Silent auction: Participants can bid on exclusive items, with all proceeds supporting the West End Theatre.
  • Games: Tony Awards themed fun includes bingo and wagers on who will win while the Tonys play in the background.
  • Red-carpet outfit contest: Participants are invited to show off their most fabulous attire and vote for their favorite.
  • Photos: A photo wall allows folks to capture memories with friends.
  • Season announcement: Organizers will conclude the evening by revealing the lineup for West End Theatre’s 12th season.

Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are sold in tiers, at $25, $75 and $100, with higher tiers receiving additional benefits.

For more information, contact Kelsea Johnson, executive director at the West End Theatre, at 530-283-1956 or [email protected]. The theatre is located at 14 Crescent Street in Quincy. More information is available at westendtheatre.us.
