The Plumas County Fire Safe Council reports that the recent Wildfire Preparedness and Children’s Fair in Quincy was a resounding success, thanks to support from local communities. Organizers said families turned out in large numbers to participate in a range of engaging activities, including trivia, coloring contests, water pump races offered by Cal Fire, and the ever-popular bounce house newly provided by the Plumas National Forest. The event, which was held at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds, was a testament to the community’s commitment to wildfire preparedness and the health and wellness of its children.

The Plumas County Fire Safe team thanks the Plumas Children’s Council for collaborating on this event. “We were thrilled to partner with an organization that plays such a significant role in Plumas County, and we hope that our neighbors found the event valuable, informative, and filled with family fun,” said organizers.
