In honor of Flag Day and Father’s Day, Sierra Christian Church reports it is showing “Faith of Our Fathers” for its next Movie Night on Friday, June 14.
It is the story of two men who embark on a trip to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., guided by the letters their fathers wrote while serving in the war. The preview is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKcmxJw-u7s.
“As we just celebrated Memorial Day and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, we also thank our veterans who were willing to give up their lives for that same freedom,” say organizers.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for visitors to enjoy finger foods, drinks and popcorn before the movie begins at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 81059 Highway 70 in Beckwourth. Those with questions are invited to call 530-249-9136.
