Greenville Southern Baptist Church announces that it invites children to Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School, with the theme Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through. This summer kids’ event will be hosted at the church from Monday, July 29, through Thursday, Aug. 1.
At Rocky Railway, kids discover through life’s ups and downs that Jesus’ power pulls us through, say organizers. During the event, kids will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, eat snacks, take part in Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them to trust Jesus, and test out “sciency-fun gizmos” to take home. In addition, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through “God sightings.” Each day will conclude with the Rocky Wrap-Up that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned, say organizers.
Rocky Railway is for kids from kindergarten through sixth grade and will run from 10 a.m. to noon each day. Greenville Southern Baptist Church will set up a booth during Greenville’s Gold Digger Days on July 20 for early registration. The church is located at 241 Greenville Wolf Creek Road.
