First District Assemblywoman Megan Dahle reports that her staff participated in one of EcoFlight’s tours of wildlands and wetlands‚ focusing on what is needed for conservation of these environments. With some of the most rural areas in California‚ the 1st Assembly District encompasses a great deal of wildlife‚ which cohabitates with constituents, said Dahle. These animals are an integral component of the area’s environment.
The opportunity provided by the Wildlands Network via EcoFlight allowed Dahle’s staff to view wildlife crossings from the air in Plumas County. The flight toured several existing crossings as well as proposed future areas. Preservation efforts have successfully brought back several species that had not been present in California for a hundred years, said Dahle.
“Thank you to EcoFlight for the informative tour as we continue to create policies to ensure areas like the 1st Assembly District are stewarded well,” said Dahle.
