The Mohawk Community Resource Center invites the public to an open house to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The event is set for Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the center in Suite 4 at 8989 Highway 89. The building is located at the intersection of highways 89 and 70 near the Corner Barn in Blairsden.
The event includes refreshments. Members of the MCRC board of directors say they look forward to showcasing the many offerings of this volunteer organization.
MCRC first opened its doors in 2004. Don Clark, who was a county supervisor at the time, was instrumental in getting the county to fund the center, said MCRC volunteer John Lullo.
Clark passed away in June of this year, and hundreds attended his memorial celebration. “His legacy lives on, especially in 2024, the 20th anniversary of this important gift to the community,” said Lullo.
