July 26, 27: Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Member/Guest Invitational

The Graeagle Men’s Goff Association held its 52nd annual Member/Guest Invitational July 26 and 27. Teams of four competed in a format called Two Best Ball of the Foursome. Organizers report that 120 players enjoyed mild temperatures and excellent playing conditions. Dinner was served at the picnic grounds; participants said it was outstanding, and offered “cheers” to the food and beverage teams.

Players received engraved coasters and a flask. Organizers offer special thanks to Dan Friedman for the “tremendously successful” event; to Tad McCormick’s team and the entire golf course staff, who ensured a “flawless” tournament; and to Catherine Macdonald and the women’s club members for their supporting efforts managing the closest to hole, long drive, most accurate and margarita events.

Prizes were awarded to the top five teams and to the single low-gross score in each flight. Teams with low gross could not win both the low net and low gross. Ties were settled by computer.

The White Tee Flight had 17 teams competing.  Low gross was won by the team of Eddie Jordan, Jim Williams, Noah Williams and Jerry Summers with a gross score of 279.
