The Plumas Sun invites community members to join us for informative, hands-on press release workshops countywide. Participants will learn how to prepare a release that will win coverage in The Plumas Sun and beyond.
The Plumas Sun relies on our community partners to help keep us informed about events, entertainment, volunteer opportunities, sports and more through press releases. Whether you’re just getting started, or already a seasoned writer, these free hour-long sessions will enhance your communications skills and help make your voice heard.
We’ll cover the following topics, in addition to answering questions:
- When and how to submit a press release
- Tips for clear and impactful writing
- Strategies for crafting an effective press release
The first workshop was held Aug. 15 at the Chester branch of the Plumas County Library. Three additional workshops are scheduled as follows:
