Organizers report that E Clampus Vitus hosted the Quincy Community Supper on Aug. 14. Members of the fraternal organization served 148 meals including their famous pulled-pork sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans and cookies for dessert.

The Quincy Community Supper offers a meal with no charge the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church at 282 Jackson St. Serving the community since 2002, the supper is hosted by a rotating list of businesses, churches, service organizations, schools and offices. The next supper will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited for food and fellowship.
