The Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola announces it is partnering with the Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce in presenting this year’s Railroad Days event, the latest in a 36-year tradition. The Sept. 28 event will feature vendors, local beers, a children’s area and live music.
The museum plans to run its caboose train from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the event. All of the usual displays and the museum store will also be available. Admission to the museum will be free for the event. Good-all-day train ride tickets will be sold in the museum store so that participants can ride as many times as they like and experience different cabooses. The museum is also planning a special extra-fare photo event after the museum closes.
More information about the event is available at https://wplives.org/news_items/2024_RR_Days.html.
