The Dawn Institute invites the community to mark their calendars for the annual Apple Squeeze on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. “This free event celebrates the joys of community and the bounty of the apple harvest!” say organizers. The event will be held at 162 Indian Falls Road.
This year’s festivities will include the popular pick-and-press activity, where attendees can handpick apples from the Dawn Institute trees and press them into cider. Participants can bring their own containers to take home the freshly made cider and enjoy the fruits of their labor after the event. “In addition to cider pressing, we’ll have a variety of snacks available to keep your energy up as you explore the garden,” say organizers.
For both longtime attendees and those new to the community, the Dawn Institute says the annual Apple Squeeze promises a day filled with “community, curiosity and, of course, lots of apples!”
