Plumas County is developing a County Drought Resilience Plan to help state small water systems and domestic wells owners better prepare for future droughts and water shortages. Being prepared helps reduce hardships and improves our community’s water supply resiliency.
The planning process includes opportunities to engage with the community. An upcoming meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 5, 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Almanor Recreation Center, 451 Meadowbrook Loop, Chester. Participation is available online or by phone via Zoom. The Almanor meeting will focus on the county’s revised risk assessment and potential short-term response actions the county can implement to support state small water systems and domestic wells during future droughts.
