Peak Women’s Care will hold an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at its newly renovated facility at 181 S. Gulling St. in Portola.
Peak offers many services to offer, all of which are free. Among them are pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, after-abortion support, miscarriage and stillbirth support, parenting and life skills classes. It also makes available a host of information and resources, including free diapers, baby clothing, and other supplies needed for babies.
At the open house visitors will be able to do a walk-through of the new faciality at their own pace, with Peak employees and volunteers available for questions and information.
“Our team has put a lot of hard work into opening Peak Women’s Care. We are excited to share it with the community,” ,” said Mollie Nordin, PWC executive director.
Those facing an unplanned pregnancy often feel overwhelmed and alone—uncertain about what to do next, she said. Peak Women’s Care is available for pregnancy testing and an ultrasound as well as other services, with follow-up care and support provided. To make an appointment can go to https://peakwomens.org/contact/.
Upcoming events for 2025 include a hike-a-thon in the spring, as well as the annual fall banquet.
