Realtors honor industry veterans, welcome new leaders

REALTORS® and industry partners from across Plumas County gathered Nov. 16 to welcome in new leadership and honor colleagues at the Plumas Association of REALTORS® Annual Installation and Awards Dinner.

Jeanne Collins of Portola was honored as the 2024 Realtor of the Year. A 45-year resident, Collins has worked as an agent with Pearson Realty for the past 25 years. She has continuously served on the committee that oversees the association’s multiple listing service and was instrumental in developing the mapping and transitioning the MLS to a digital platform. Collins also has spent countless volunteer hours monitoring MLS listings. In addition, she served on the committee that selects winners of the association’s annual scholarship program.

Collins is planning to retire from real estate next year but will continue to serve her community as a volunteer board member/secretary for the Grizzly Lake Improvement District in Delleker.

The association’s 2024 Affiliate Member Award of the Year went to the dual Chico-based business of Stone Ridge Home Inspection Service and Stone Ridge Termite & Pest Control. Bob Fritz provides home inspection services to homeowners and sellers while Kevin Erskine provides residential and commercial pest inspections and treatment. The pair have been serving the Lake Almanor/Greenville area for the past 20 years and are highly regarded for their professionalism, expertise, reliability and thoroughness. The business partners both own vacation homes at Lake Almanor.

A Special Recognition Award was given to Leah West, broker of Graeagle Associates, for her longtime leadership service, which started in 1994. West has served a total of 20 years as a local, regional and state director. She is stepping down from the association’s board of directors this year to dedicate more time to her family and her successful real estate career.

The association also welcomed new leadership for 2025. Hannah Mansell of Town and Country Properties in Quincy was sworn in as 2025 president by her husband/broker Johnny Mansell, who himself served as PAR president in 2011.
