“Lake Almanor Community Hospital” is the name of the hospital currently under construction in Chester.
The Seneca Healthcare District Board of Directors officially selected the name after a board vote at its November meeting. The directors believed it aligns better with the board’s strategic goals. The name also serves to remind residents and visitors that there is a hospital to serve them locally.
In addition, directors and district officials plan to restructure marketing and outreach efforts to incorporate the Lake Almanor Clinic and the new community hospital. A recent assessment highlighted the need for a better name that connects the communities in the Lake Almanor Basin.
The Seneca Healthcare District includes Lake Almanor Clinic, Almanor Physical Therapy, and the new hospital. The Seneca Healthcare District name and logo will still appear on bills.
