Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. seeks bids from qualified licensed timber operators for mechanical forest fuels reduction and mechanical forest restoration work.
The biomass utilization project involves more than 2,000 acres of public and private forest lands. The council expects project implementation to continue throughout 2025. Bids are due Jan. 15, 2025.
Project involves work in burned and unburned stands including felling, skidding, decking, chipping and hauling material to biomass utilization facilities. The project area includes the greater Susanville/Janesville areas in Lassen and Plumas counties.
The council will evaluate competitive offer submissions from operators who present a price offer in line with to the information provided in the bid package. Contractors must also demonstrate an ability to complete the scope of work successfully. Submitting operators must have the valid, required insurance and licensing at the time of submission.
